محمود لک، روز ۲۰ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ در منطقه سه راه سیمین اصفهان هدف تیراندازی مستقیم نیروهای سرکوبگر جمهوری اسلامی قرار گرفت. بنا بر گزارش ها، او از فاصله ای بسیار نزدیک با گلوله جنگی از ناحیه پهلو و گردن مورد اصابت قرار گرفت و در پی شدت جراحات جان باخت.
