Shayan Amirhossein Shakari, a 22-year-old former member of the national youth taekwondo team and a physical education student, was shot in the head and killed on Thursday, January 8, in the Razi Square area of Rasht.
Sources reported that on the day of the incident, he told his companions, "I am going to help people." Informed sources stated that officers pursued him and he was shot directly in the head in a dead-end alley.
His body was initially taken to Rasoul Akram Hospital in Rasht and was transferred to the forensic department on Friday. Sources close to the family mentioned that they were asked for money to release the body, which the family refused. Additionally, they were presented with a document to declare that Shayan was a "Basiji," a claim the family again denied.
Ultimately, only his parents were allowed to collect the body on Tuesday, and the burial took place. The family was required to commit not to hold any ceremonies.
Two days before the fortieth-day commemoration, individuals visited the family home and said, "We didn't know Shayan was a medalist," expressing a desire to organize the fortieth-day ceremony themselves.
Informed sources said that during the burial, the taekwondo association honored Shayan's mother with a certificate of appreciation. Shayan Shakari had a silver medal from the Asian Clubs Championship in his record.

شایان امیرحسین شکاری ۲۲ ساله عضو سابق تیم ملی نوجوانان تکواندو و دانشجوی رشته تربیت بدنی روز پنج شنبه ۱۸ دی ماه در محدوده فلکه رازی رشت با شلیک گلوله به سر کشته شد.
به گفته منابع آگاه او در روز حادثه به همراهانش گفته بود که «من می روم به مردم کمک کنم.» منابع مطلع می گویند ماموران او را تعقیب کرده اند و در یک کوچه بن بست هدف شلیک مستقیم به سر قرار گرفته است.
پیکر او ابتدا به بیمارستان رسول اکرم رشت منتقل و روز جمعه به پزشکی قانونی انتقال داده شده است. به گفته منابع نزدیک به خانواده از آنان برای تحویل پیکر درخواست پول شده که خانواده آن را نپذیرفته اند. همچنین برگه ای در برابرشان قرار داده شده تا اعلام کنند شایان «بسیجی» بوده است. موضوعی که خانواده بار دیگر رد کرده اند.
در نهایت روز سه شنبه تنها به پدر و مادر اجازه داده شد پیکر را تحویل بگیرند و خاکسپاری انجام شود. از خانواده تعهد گرفته شده که هیچ گونه مراسمی برگزار نکنند.
به گفته منابع آگاه دو روز پیش از چهلم افرادی به منزل خانواده مراجعه کرده و گفته اند «نمی دانستیم شایان مدال آور بوده» و خواستار برگزاری مراسم چهلم از سوی خود شده اند.
منابع آگاه می گویند که در روز خاکسپاری از سوی هیئت تکواندو با لوح تقدیر از مادر شایان تقدیر شده است. شایان شکاری مدال نقره جام باشگاه های آسیا را در کارنامه داشت.
