Tayebeh Nazari, a retired teacher and mother of the late lawyer Maryam Arvin, has been sentenced to a total of five years in prison. The First Branch of the Revolutionary Court issued the sentence, citing charges of "assembly and collusion against national security" and "propaganda activities against the regime."
Tayebeh Nazari was arrested on 13 December 2025 during the seventh-day ceremony of Khosrow Alikordi. The charges against her include "travelling from Sirjan and participating in gatherings in response to calls published on social media" and "extensive activity on social networks in support of the slogan 'Woman, Life, Freedom' and chanting slogans against the regime."
The court ruling also stated that the accused participated in these gatherings with "prior intent" and had no acquaintance or familial relationship with the deceased individual. Therefore, the court considered her presence as an act of solidarity with protesters and chanting protest slogans.
