Davood Soltani Helisadi, a 38-year-old teacher and father of three-year-old triplets, passed away from gunshot wounds in Isfahan on 8 January 2026. Reports indicate that his body was returned to his family six days later, with a request to announce the cause of death in a specific manner.
Davood had joined protesters in his neighbourhood in Isfahan. It is reported that he assisted the injured until the last moments, helping to move them to safe locations. Additionally, a mother of one of the injured recounted that Davood transported an injured person to a clinic and used his jacket to keep them warm.
Sources have stated that Davood was a critic of the country's political and economic situation and had been arrested during the protests in 2019. Originally from the Helisadi tribe of the Bakhtiari clan, he moved to Isfahan with his family at the age of 11. Davood and his sister are buried in Shahin Shahr. Ultimately, his family agreed to have him declared a martyr to receive additional benefits.

داود در محله سکونتش در اصفهان به جمع معترضان پیوسته بود. گفته شده است که او تا آخرین لحظات به زخمی ها کمک می کرد و آنان را به مکان های امن منتقل می کرد. همچنین، یکی از مادران زخمی ها روایت کرده است که داود یکی از مجروحان را به درمانگاه منتقل کرده و کاپشن خود را برای گرم نگه داشتن او استفاده کرده است.
به گفته منابع، داود از منتقدان وضعیت سیاسی و اقتصادی کشور بود و در اعتراضات سال 1398 نیز بازداشت شده بود. او اصالتاً از طایفه هلیسادی ایل بختیاری بود و از 11 سالگی به همراه خانواده به اصفهان نقل مکان کرده بود. مزار داود و خواهرش در شاهین شهر قرار دارد. در نهایت، خانواده او با شهید اعلام شدن وی موافقت کردند تا از حقوق بیشتری برخوردار شوند.
