Governmental bodies have reportedly demanded a significant sum for the release of the body of Milad Sheidaei Gamasai. Due to the family's financial inability to pay, they have been pressured to declare Milad as a "martyr" and attribute his death to protesters.
Milad Sheidaei Gamasai, an employee of Snowa Company in Shahriar, was shot twice from behind in the Yaftabad area of Tehran on the evening of 9 January 2026.
From 9 January, when the family was informed of the shooting, until 14 January, they had no information about his condition. Each time they inquired, they received no clear answers and were even told that he had been transferred to prison. During this period, the family did not know whether Milad was alive or deceased.
Eventually, a relative identified Milad's image at the forensic medicine office, and the family was referred to Behesht Zahra for the release of the body.
The family was asked to pay a fee for the release of the body, but they stated they were unable to afford it.

میلاد شیدایی گماسائی کارمند شرکت اسنوا در شهریار، در شامگاه 19 دی 1404 در منطقه یافت آباد تهران با شلیک دو گلوله از پشت هدف قرار گرفت.
از 19 دی که خانواده خبر تیراندازی را شنیدند تا 24 دی هیچ اطلاعی از وضعیت او نداشتند. هر بار که پیگیری می کردند، پاسخ روشنی دریافت نمی کردند و حتی به آن ها گفته شده بود که او را به زندان منتقل کرده اند. خانواده در این مدت نمی دانستند میلاد زنده است یا کشته شده.
در نهایت، یکی از بستگان با مراجعه به پزشکی قانونی تصویر میلاد را در آنجا شناسایی کرد و خانواده برای تحویل پیکر به بهشت زهرا ارجاع داده شدند.
برای تحویل پیکر از خانواده درخواست پرداخت وجه شده بود اما اعلام کردند توان پرداخت ندارند.
