Azam Daneshvarkar and her sister Akram, sisters of Ali Akbar Daneshvarkar who was executed on 30 March 2026, have been arrested following their persistent efforts to retrieve their brother's body.
In recent days, the two sisters had repeatedly visited Ghezel Hesar Prison, the forensic medicine department, and judicial authorities, seeking information on the burial location and the release of their brother's body. Ultimately, they were arrested on Monday, 18 April 2026, and transferred to Qarchak Varamin Prison. Reports indicate that a case has been filed against them with charges including "assembly and collusion against internal security" and "disturbance of public order." It is reported that the pressure on these two women is directly related to their pursuit of justice and their efforts to learn about the fate of their brother's body.

این دو خواهر طی روزهای گذشته با مراجعه مداوم به زندان قزلحصار، پزشکی قانونی و مراجع قضایی، خواستار اطلاع از محل دفن و تحویل پیکر برادرشان بودند. در نهایت، روز دوشنبه ۲۹ فروردین ۱۴۰۵ بازداشت و به زندان قرچک ورامین منتقل شدند.
بر اساس گزارش ها، پرونده ای با اتهاماتی از جمله «اجتماع و تبانی علیه امنیت داخلی» و «اخلال در نظم عمومی» علیه آن ها تشکیل شده است. گفته می شود فشار بر این دو زن، مستقیماً به پیگیری هایشان در مسیر دادخواهی و اطلاع از سرنوشت پیکر برادرشان مرتبط است.
