Ehsan Toofan

Ehsan Tofan Chatri, a Baloch citizen, was fatally shot during the suppression of public protests in Bandar Abbas on 19 January 2026, in front of the city's broadcasting building. His body was retrieved from the forensic medicine department on 21 January 2026, and his funeral and burial took place in the city of Anbarabad on 22 January 2026.

Ehsan Tofan Chatri, was employed at Tipax in Bandar Abbas. According to informed sources, the bullet struck him from behind in the head and neck area, with evidence of a gunshot wound visible on his body. There is no record of him being transferred to or admitted to any hospitals in Bandar Abbas, and he died at the scene of the incident.

Following his disappearance, Ehsan Tofan's family searched hospitals, police stations, prisons, and morgues in Bandar Abbas, eventually identifying his body at the Baghu morgue. His body was handed over to the family on Monday and transported to his hometown for burial. The body was monitored by security forces until it left Bandar Abbas and was subsequently buried in Anbarabad. The burial ceremony was conducted without the presence of security forces.
