On 8 January 2026, Nima Kadkhodaei was struck by pellet gunfire during protests in Isfahan and passed away after two days in a coma. The incident occurred near the Pol Hotel, close to the Si-o-se-pol Bridge in Isfahan. It was reported that people struggled to transport him to the hospital for admission. Initial medical assessments indicated that a pellet had hit his cerebellum, leading to his coma. It is said that the shooting occurred at close range, with pellets striking his upper body, including the chest, shoulder, and skull.
According to available information, doctors declared Nima brain dead after two days in a coma. His family agreed to donate his organs, but he passed away before this could take place. Reports indicate that Nima Kadkhodaei was referred to as a martyr, but his parents did not attend his burial ceremony at Bagh Rezvan in Isfahan as a form of protest.
نیما کدخدایی در تاریخ 18 دی 1404 در اعتراضات اصفهان هدف شلیک گلوله ساچمه ای قرار گرفت و پس از دو روز کما جان باخت. او در محدوده هتل پل در نزدیکی سی و سه پل اصفهان هدف شلیک قرار گرفت. گزارش شده است که مردم به سختی توانستند او را به بیمارستان برسانند و پذیرش کنند. تشخیص اولیه نشان داد که ساچمه به مخچه اصابت کرده و موجب به کما رفتن او شده است. گفته می شود شلیک از نزدیک بوده و ساچمه ها به بالاتنه نیما در ناحیه سینه، شانه و جمجمه اصابت کرده بودند.
بر اساس اطلاعات موجود، پزشکان پس از دو روز کما مرگ مغزی نیما را اعلام کردند. خانواده او با اهدای اعضای بدنش موافقت کردند، اما پیش از این اقدام، او جان باخت. گزارش شده است که نیما کدخدایی با عنوان شهید معرفی شده است، اما پدر و مادر او به نشانه اعتراض در مراسم خاکسپاری او در باغ رضوان اصفهان شرکت نکردند.
