Mohammad (Gholamreza) Zare, the owner of "Linda" flower shop on Ghadamgah Street in Shiraz, was killed by a sniper on the night of January 8, 2026 (18 Dey).
During the height of the crackdown in Shiraz, Mohammad sheltered a group of fleeing protesters inside his shop to protect them from gunfire and arrest.
Roughly 30 minutes after the sounds of gunfire had subsided, he peered outside to check if it was safe for the protesters to leave. At that moment, he was struck in the neck by a sniper's bullet, dying instantly in front of his family and the very people he was protecting.
