عمر شریف حاجی، شهروند اهل مهاباد، پس از گذراندن ۴ ماه از دوران محکومیت خود، با وثیقه ای به مبلغ یک میلیارد تومان به صورت مشروط از زندان مرکزی مهاباد آزاد شد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که در ۱۴ آبان ۱۴۰۲، او با وثیقه مذکور از زندان آزاد شده است. عمر شریف حاجی در دوره بازداشت خود توسط دادگاه انقلاب مهاباد به یک سال زندان تعزیری همراه با تبعید محکوم شده بود. او در ۲۰ تیر ۱۴۰۲ توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به زندان مرکزی مهاباد منتقل شده بود.
