On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Bahar Zangi Band, a physical education instructor at Islamic Azad University of Sanandaj, residing in Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province, was summoned to Branch 3 of the Investigative Court of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Sanandaj to be informed of the charges against her.

According to the report, after attending the interrogation session and presenting her defense, Bahar Zangi was charged with propaganda activities against the regime. At the end of the session, she was released on bail amounting to 10 billion rials.

It is worth mentioning that on September 19, 2022, amid widespread protests in response to the death of Mahsa Zhina Amini, Bahar Zangi Band was arrested by security forces on the campus of Islamic Azad University in Sanandaj. After being taken to her home, where some personal belongings were searched and confiscated, she was transferred to the detention center of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department to face legal proceedings. She was released on bail from the Sanandaj Correctional and Rehabilitation Center on October 8, 2022.

Subsequently, according to Hrana, after her release, she was barred by the regime's intelligence agencies from teaching and entering the university.
