A source close to the family of Arshia Rashidian reported that Arshia Rashidian, the only child of Mehdi, an employee of Iran Khodro, passed away on 9 January 2026, due to a gunshot wound to the abdomen, resulting in severe bleeding. The incident occurred on Central Street in Golshahr, Karaj.

The source further explained that Arshia's body was missing for 12 days, leaving the family unaware of his status until 10 a.m. on 21 January, when an anonymous caller informed Arshia's uncle that his body was located at the Bibi Sakineh Cemetery in Karaj.

Despite the condition of Arshia's body, it remains unclear whether he was shot on the night of 19 January or at a later time. When the body was handed over, the family was not charged a fee due to Arshia's grandfather being a martyr in the Iran-Iraq war.

Security officials advised the family to either conduct a small, night-time burial or to bury the body in a city other than Karaj or Tehran. Ultimately, the family decided to transfer Arshia's body to Emamzadeh Es'haq in Saveh, where his maternal grandfather resided, and he was laid to rest on 22 January.
