Azam Gholami Zahab, one of the protesters living in Mashhad, who has been in prison since Mehr 1401 (September 2022), was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
According to the report of the monitoring committee on the status of detainees: "Azam Gholami is imprisoned in Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad and was tried and sentenced to imprisonment by the fifth branch of the revolutionary court of this city.
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the charge of forming a group with the aim of disrupting the country's security, 5 years for the charge of gathering and conspiring against the regime, and 1 year for propagandizing against the regime, for a total of 16 years in prison.
"Azam Gholami Zahab was denied access to a chosen lawyer."
