On Saturday, April 26, 2025, Somayeh Rashidi, born in 1983, a political detainee residing in Tehran, was arrested by security forces and transferred to Evin Prison, where she was denied the basic rights of a political detainee under arrest.
It was reported that the reason for Somayeh Rashidi's arrest was graffiti writing. This civil activist was apprehended by police officers while writing slogans in the Javadiyeh area of Tehran and was subsequently transferred to the Police Information and Security Detention Center before being taken to Evin Prison for interrogation.
Regarding the charges against Somayeh Rashidi, it was stated that the legal instances of her charges include "propaganda against the regime through graffiti writing," "disturbing public opinion," and "assembly and collusion."

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، روز شنبه ۶ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۴، سمیه رشیدی، متولد: ۱۳۶۲، متهم سیاسی، ساکن تهران، توسط نیروهای امنیتی دستگیر و به زندان اوین منتقل و از حقوق اولیه یک متهم سیاسی تحت بازداشت محروم شده است
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”علت دستگیری سمیه رشیدی، شعارنویسی بوده و این فعال مدنی در هنگام شعارنویسی توسط ماموران نیروی انتظامی، در منطقه جوادیه تهران، دستگیر و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه پلیس اطلاعات و امنیت برای بازجویی به زندان اوین منتقل شده است.”
این فرد مطلع در خصوص اتهامات منتسب شده به سمیه رشیدی افزود:”از جمله مصادیق حقوقی اتهامات خانم رشیدی «تبلیغی علیه نظام از طریق شعارنویسی»، «تشویش اذهان عمومی» و «اجتماع و تبانی» ذکر شده است.”
