Abolfazl Amirataei, was injured on 21 September 2022 in Shahr-e Rey during the "Woman, Life, Freedom" uprising. He was struck in the head by a tear gas canister fired by security forces. Approximately eight months later, he passed away.
Following the impact, the left side of his skull was damaged, resulting in complete paralysis. Shortly after a partial recovery, his mother announced his passing. During this period, he underwent several surgeries. It has been reported that at Haft-e Tir Hospital, his family was required to commit not to file complaints against the security forces.
Reports indicate that on the night of 21 September 2022, special guard forces surrounded protesters at Namaz Square in Shahr-e Rey and fired tear gas at them from close range.
Tasnim News Agency claimed that Abolfazl Amirataei's injury did not occur during the protests and that his family had not made any claims in this regard. However, his mother confirmed on social media that he was shot. The prosecutor of Shahr-e Rey stated that he had gone to the Deylaman area on a motorcycle when an object struck him from behind.
ابوالفضل امیرعطایی، در ۳۰ شهریور ۱۴۰۱ در جریان خیزش "زن زندگی آزادی" در شهر ری با شلیک گلوله گاز اشک آور به سرش توسط مأموران مجروح شد. وی پس از حدود هشت ماه درگذشت.
پس از اصابت گلوله به سرش، سمت چپ جمجمه او آسیب دید و بر اثر این جراحت فلج کامل شد. مدت کوتاهی پس از بهبودی نسبی، مادرش از درگذشت او خبر داد. او طی این مدت چندین جراحی را پشت سر گذاشت. گزارش شده است که در بیمارستان هفتم تیر از خانواده او تعهد گرفته شد که از نیروهای امنیتی شکایت نکنند.
گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که در شب ۳۰ شهریور، نیروهای گارد ویژه در میدان نماز شهر ری معترضان را محاصره کرده و از فاصله نزدیک به سوی آنها گاز اشک آور شلیک کردند.
خبرگزاری تسنیم ادعا کرد که مصدومیت ابوالفضل امیرعطایی در جریان اعتراضات نبوده و خانواده او نیز ادعایی در این خصوص نداشته اند. در حالی که مادر او در شبکه های اجتماعی شلیک به پسرش را تأیید کرده است. دادستان شهر ری نیز اعلام کرد که او با موتورسیکلت به منطقه دیلمان رفته بود که از پشت، جسمی به سرش برخورد کرد.
