Mojtaba Kian, identified as a political prisoner, has been executed on charges of espionage. The judiciary-affiliated Mizan News Agency reported that Mojtaba Kian was executed after a case was formed in the Alborz Province judiciary, accusing him of sending information related to Iran's military industries to an unspecified foreign entity during a recent conflict.
According to the published report, judicial authorities claimed that Mojtaba Kian transmitted the information through messaging to a satellite network described as hostile. The judiciary also accused him of conducting intelligence activities for Israel and the United States, stating that he was sentenced to confiscation of all assets in addition to the death penalty.
Official announcements indicated that less than 50 days elapsed between Mojtaba Kian's arrest and the execution of his sentence on 3 Khordad 1405 in the Iranian calendar.

خبرگزاری میزان، وابسته به قوه قضاییه جمهوری اسلامی، اعلام کرد مجتبی کیان، زندانی سیاسی، پس از تشکیل پرونده ای در دادگستری استان البرز به اتهام ارسال اطلاعات مربوط به صنایع نظامی ایران به «دشمن» در جریان جنگ اخیر، اعدام شده است.
بر اساس گزارش منتشرشده، مقام های قضایی مدعی شده اند که مجتبی کیان اطلاعات مورد نظر را از طریق پیام رسانی به «یک شبکه ماهواره ای معاند» منتقل کرده بود.
قوه قضاییه همچنین او را به «فعالیت اطلاعاتی برای اسرائیل و آمریکا» متهم کرده و اعلام کرده است که وی علاوه بر حکم اعدام، به مصادره کلیه اموال نیز محکوم شده بود.
طبق اعلام رسمی، از زمان بازداشت مجتبی کیان تا اجرای حکم اعدام او در روز سوم خرداد ۱۴۰۵، کمتر از ۵۰ روز فاصله زمانی وجود داشته است.
