A resident of Karzan, Ilam Province, named Sirus Rabibeygi, was injured during public protests in the city on 09.01.2026. While carrying his young child and crossing the street, he was struck by a direct shotgun bullet, resulting in severe injuries to both eyes and the loss of his vision.
Reports indicate that Sirus Rabibeygi was a worker and the head of his household. He reportedly lacks the financial means to obtain necessary medical treatment for his eye condition. Since the injury, he has not been able to receive specialist medical care, and general practitioners have reportedly lost hope regarding the condition of his eyes.
It has also been reported that his family was compelled to sell several sheep, which were a source of income for them, to afford travel to Tehran for specialist medical consultation.
سیروس ربیع بیگی، شهروند کورد اهل کارزان از توابع استان ایلام، در تاریخ 19 دی 1404 در جریان اعتراضات مردمی این شهر، در حالی که فرزند خردسالش را در آغوش داشت و در حال عبور از خیابان بود، هدف شلیک مستقیم گلوله سلاح شاتگان قرار گرفت. او از ناحیه هر دو چشم به شدت زخمی شده و بینایی خود را از دست داده است.
گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که سیروس ربیع بیگی کارگر و سرپرست خانواده بوده و از نظر مالی توانایی لازم برای رسیدگی پزشکی به وضعیت چشمانش را ندارد. با گذشت زمان از مجروحیت، او تاکنون نتوانسته تحت درمان لازم توسط پزشک متخصص قرار بگیرد. پزشکان عمومی از وضعیت چشمان او قطع امید کرده اند.
همچنین گزارش شده است که خانواده او برای پیگیری درمان مجبور شده اند چند رأس گوسفند، که منبع درآمد خانواده بوده، را بفروشند تا بتوانند برای مراجعه به تهران و دریافت نظر پزشک متخصص اقدام کنند.
