On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, labor and trade union activist and political prisoner Morteza Saeedi was conditionally released from Evin Prison after serving part of his sentence.

It is noteworthy that the hearing on Morteza Saeedi's charges was held on April 26, 2023, by the judge of Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Shahriar County. On June 23, 2024, the labor activist was sentenced to two years of imprisonment for the charge of "forming a group with the intention of disrupting national security through a labor union." On November 6, 2024, after appearing at Branch 3 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Shahriar County, he was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison to serve his sentence.
On August 21, 2022, Morteza Saeedi received a summons to the investigation branch of the Evin Prison Prosecutor's Office, where he presented his defense regarding the charges mentioned in the indictment. On October 24, 2022, he was summoned to Branch 101 of the Criminal Court 2 in Shahriar County for trial. On April 12, 2023, he received written notifications for April 26, 2023, to present his defense along with his lawyers against the charge of "forming a group under the name of Workers' Union with a communist discourse and with the intent to disrupt national security" at Branch 2 of the Revolutionary Court of Shahriar County.
This labor activist was arrested on April 15, 2022, by security forces and transferred to Ward 209 of the Ministry of Intelligence located in Evin Prison. After undergoing interrogation and being informed of the charges on May 9, 2022, Morteza Saeedi was released on bail until the completion of the legal proceedings.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، روز سه شنبه ۹ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴، مرتضی صیدی فعال کارگری ـ صنفی و زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان اوین، پس از تحمل بخشی از حبس تعزیری خود بطور مشروط آزاد شد.
براساس این گزارش، آزادی مرتضی صیدی، بطور مشروط از زندان اوین صورت گرفته است.
لازم به ذکر است، جلسه دادرسی به اتهامات مرتضی صیدی، در تاریخ ۶ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۲، از سوی قاضی شعبه ۲دادگاه انقلاب شهرستان شهریار، برگزار و در تاریخ ۲ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۳، این فعالان کارگری از بابت اتهام «تشکیل گروه و دسته به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور اتحادیه کارگری »، به تحمل ۲ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم و در تاریخ ۱۵ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۳، پس از حضور در شعبه ۳ اجرای احکام دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب شهرقدس قلعه حسن خان ، بازداشت و برای تحمل دوران حبس خود به زندان اوین منتقل شده بود.
مرتضی صیدی، در تاریخ ۳۰ مردادماه ۱۴۰۱، با دریافت ابلاغیه ای به شعبه بازپرسی دادسرای زندان اوین احضار و دفاعیات خود را از بابت اتهام مندرج در کیفرخواست به بازپرس پرونده ارائه کرد و در تاریخ ۲ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱، پس از احضار به شعبه ۱۰۱دادگاه کیفری۲شهرقدس قلعه حسن خان ، برای محاکمه احضار شد و در تاریخ ۲۳ فروردین ماه ۱۴۰۲، با دریافت ابلاغیه های کتبی برای تاریخ ۶ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۲، به همراه وکلای خود برای ارائه دفاعیات در برابر اتهام «تشکیل گروه با عنوان اتحاد کارگری با گفتمان کمونیستی و به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به شعبه ۲ دادگاه انقلاب شهرستان شهریار احضار شده بود.
این فعال کارگری، در تاریخ ۲۶ فروردین ماه ۱۴۰۱، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بند ۲۰۹ وزارت اطلاعات واقع در زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجوئی و تفهیم اتهام در تاریخ ۱۹ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۱، مرتضی صیدی، با تودیع قرار وثیقه تا اتمام مراحل دادرسی آزاد شده بود.
