حمیدرضا جلوی اعضای خانواده خود کشته شده و جسد او توسط مأموران برده شده و به خانواده تحویل داده نشده است. گزارش شده است که آقای فیروزمکان به چند معترض پناه داده بود. گفته شده است که پس از مدتی، زنگ در خانه به صدا درآمده و هنگامی که برای باز کردن در رفته، مأموران امنیتی با شلیک گلوله او را کشته اند.
