مهدی رودباریان و برادرش مصطفی رودباریان روز ۲۶ آبان ۱۳۹۸ در ماهشهر توسط نیروهای امنیتی مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفتند.
وقتی مصطفی گلوله خورد مهدی به کمکش رفت، اینبار به سر او گلوله زدند.
تاکنون نه جنازه ای به خانواده تحویل داده اند نه می گویند چه بلایی به سرشان آوردند. او در آبان نود و هشت بیست و یکسال بیش نداشت.
