Masoumeh Ghavi, a senior computer network engineer and distinguished graduate of Amir Kabir University, was known for her expertise in telecommunications infrastructure, including fourth-generation networks. She played a key role in implementing emerging technologies at major Iranian operators, Irancell and Mobinnet, while also serving as an assistant professor and academic advisor. Despite her professional success in Iran, she emigrated to Canada and excelled at Dalhousie University, quickly securing a position in the country's technology industry.
She was supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries in underprivileged areas. In December 2019, she returned to Iran to accompany her younger sister, Mahdieh, and to hold her engagement ceremony. On 8 January 2020, she and her sister were passengers on flight PS752, which was downed by missiles from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps over Tehran, resulting in the loss of all passengers on board.
She and her sister buried at the Imamzadeh Saleh shrine in Tajrish.
معصومه قوی (۱۳۶۷-۱۳۹۸)، مهندس ارشد شبکه های کامپیوتری و دانش آموخته ی ممتاز دانشگاه امیرکبیر، که تخصصی کم نظیر در زیرساخت های مخابراتی (مانند نسل چهارم شبکه) داشت، سال ها در اپراتورهای بزرگ ایران (ایرانسل و مبین نت) نقشی کلیدی در پیاده سازی تکنولوژی های نوظهور ایفا کرد و هم زمان به عنوان استادیار و مشاور تحصیلی فعالیت داشت. معصومه با وجود موفقیت های حرفه ای در ایران، به کانادا مهاجرت کرد و در دانشگاه «دالهوزی» نه تنها دانشجوی ممتاز شد، بلکه بلافاصله در صنعت تکنولوژی آن کشور نیز جذب کار گردید.
او حامی مالی معلولان ضایعه نخاعی در مناطق محروم بود و برای استقلال آن ها تلاش می کرد. معصومه در آذرماه ۱۳۹۸ برای همراهی خواهر کوچکش، مهدیه، و همچنین برگزاری مراسم نامزدی خود به ایران بازگشت. در سحرگاه ۱۸ دی ۱۳۹۸ در فاجعه ی پرواز PS752 همسفر مهدیه شد.
آنها از مسافران پرواز PS752 بودند، که با شلیک موشک های سپاه پاسداران در آسمان تهران سرنگون شد، و آنها همراه دیگر مسافران جان باختند.
او و خواهرش در صحن امامزاده صالح تجریش به خاک سپرده شدند.
