Mazdak Maryaneh Hamadani, a 16-year-old teenager, was arrested in November 2022 and transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht. After his release, he died under suspicious circumstances.
Mazdak was detained during the Woman, Life, Freedom protests in Rasht on charges of "assaulting police officers" and, despite being under 18, was transferred to the adult section of Lakan Prison. It is reported that during his detention, he was given psychoactive and narcotic pills to coerce a forced confession.
Mazdak's fellow inmates stated that he was subjected to torture during his detention, to the extent that bruises were visible on his face. Due to the severity of his physical condition, he was taken to the hospital one night while handcuffed and shackled.
Mazdak died under suspicious circumstances on March 23, 2023, after his release.
The funeral of this teenager was held under security conditions, and government officials prevented young people and his friends from attending his memorial service or even entering the village where he was buried.

مزدک مریانه همدانی، نوجوان ۱۶ ساله، در آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱، دستگیر و به زندان لاکان رشت منتقل شد. پس از آزادی اما به طرز مشکوکی جان باخت.
مزدک را در انقلاب زن زندگی آزادی به اتهام «کتک زدن مأموران کلانتری» در رشت بازداشت کردند و با آنکه زیر ۱۸ سال بود او را به زندان بزرگسال زندان لاکان رشت منتقل کردند. گفته می شود که در زمان بازداشت به او قرص های روانگردان و مخدر می دادند تا او را وادار به اعتراف اجباری کنند.
هم بندان مزدک گفتند او در مدت بازداشت تحت شکنجه قرار گرفته تا جایی که آثار ضرب و جرح بر صورتش پیدا بود و به دلیل وخامت وضعیت جسمانی یک شب نیز با دست بند و پابند به بیمارستان منتقل شد.
مزدک پس از آزادی به طرز مشکوکی در سوم فروردین 1402 جان باخت.
مراسم تدفین این نوجوان تحت شرایط امنیتی برگزار شد و مأموران حکومتی مانع از حضور جوانان و دوستان او در مراسم سومش و حتی ورود به روستای محل دفنش شدند.
