Arshia Barari, a Kyokushin karate medalist and English literature student at Zanjan Azad University, was shot and killed by security forces of the Islamic Republic on 8 January 2026.
Reports indicate that Barari, a well-known athlete from Zanjan, was targeted by gunfire from government forces while he was assisting injured citizens.
Barari, born in 2005, was a fitness bodybuilding medalist and held two titles in provincial and national Kyokushin karate competitions.
According to available information, security forces fired live ammunition at Barari from a distance of one meter while he was helping the wounded. Reports suggest that Barari briefly engaged with two security personnel, and due to his physical strength and large build, the forces were compelled to shoot at him from close range. After the gunfire, they attacked him with a baton. Despite sustaining injuries, Barari survived for over an hour, but no one was able to provide assistance.
In addition to his achievements in fitness and Kyokushin, Barari was also a trainer of guard and protection dogs.

گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که عرشیا براری، ورزشکار شناخته شده زنجانی، در تاریخ ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ با شلیک گلوله نیروهای حکومتی کشته شده است.
عرشیا براری متولد ۱۳۸۳، مدال آور پرورش اندام فیتنس و دارنده دو عنوان در رقابت های کاراته در سبک کیوکوشین در سطح استانی و کشوری بود.
طبق اطلاعات موجود، نیروهای امنیتی در حالی از فاصله یک متری به عرشیا براری با گلوله جنگی شلیک کردند که او در حال کمک رسانی به شهروندان زخمی و مجروح بود.
گزارش ها نشان می دهند که عرشیا لحظاتی با دو نیروی امنیتی درگیر شد و به واسطه قدرت بدنی و جثه بزرگش، نیروها مجبور شدند از فاصله ای کوتاه به پهلوی او شلیک کنند. بعد از شلیک گلوله، به او با باتوم حمله کردند. با این حال، عرشیا بیش از یک ساعت زنده مانده بود اما کسی امکان کمک رسانی به او را نداشت.
عرشیا براری در کنار مقام هایی در رشته های فیتنس و کیوکوشین، مربی پرورش سگ های نگهبان و سگ های گارد نیز بود.
