Solmaz Sahraei Daryan passed away in Tehran on 8 January 2026 during protests. After seeking refuge in an alley, she was reportedly targeted from behind by two bullets following the firing of tear gas, leading to severe bleeding. She was laid to rest in Daryan, located in East Azerbaijan.
Another account suggests that she was shot twice on 9 January 2026 and was taken to a hospital, where she passed away on 10 January 2026.

در روایتی دیگر آمده که او در ۱۹ دی ۱۴۰۴ مورد اصابت دو گلوله قرار گرفته و او را به بیمارستان بردند ولی روز ۲۰ دی ۱۴۰۴ جان باخته است.
