Vahid Aghazamani was found deceased in Bandar-e Anzali on 14 September 2026. His death is suspected to be a suicide. Prior to this, he had been released on bail and was expected to return to prison. Earlier in the year, on 7 February 2026, Aghazamani was reportedly kidnapped in the same city.
He also was an active protester during 2022 uprising and later was supporting the victims of the 2022 protests.
He was a father to a girl.
