According to available information, Qasem Shams, a building plasterer, lost his life on 8 January 2026 on Vali Asr Street in Shahriar after being struck by a bullet in the forehead. It has been reported that Qasem Shams was shot in the evening of the same day and died at the scene. However, he was transferred to Khomeini Hospital in Shahriar, and his family was informed of the incident that night and went to the hospital to identify the body.
Due to heavy congestion and the lengthy process of identification and body release, the family had to wait several days and eventually received the body on 12 January. Qasem Shams was laid to rest in his hometown of Hamedan on 12 January. Reports indicate that Qasem Shams was married but did not have children. His family also resides in Hamedan.
بر اساس اطلاعات موجود، قاسم شمس، کناف کار ساختمان، در تاریخ 18 دی 1404 در خیابان ولیعصر شهریار با اصابت یک گلوله جنگی به ناحیه پیشانی جان خود را از دست داده است. گزارش شده است که قاسم شمس در شامگاه همان روز هدف شلیک قرار گرفته و در همان محل جان باخته است. با این حال، او به بیمارستان خمینی شهریار منتقل شده و خانواده اش همان شب از موضوع مطلع شده و برای شناسایی پیکر به بیمارستان مراجعه کرده اند.
به دلیل ازدحام شدید و روند طولانی شناسایی و تحویل پیکر، خانواده چند روز در انتظار مانده اند و در نهایت در تاریخ 22 دی موفق به تحویل گرفتن پیکر شده اند. پیکر قاسم شمس در تاریخ 22 دی در زادگاهش همدان به خاک سپرده شده است. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که قاسم شمس متاهل بوده اما فرزندی نداشته است. خانواده او نیز ساکن همدان هستند.
