Najmeh Rouhandeh was arrested by government forces in Mashhad on the evening of 20 March 2026. Following interrogation procedures, she was transferred to the women's ward of Vakilabad Prison.

نجمه روحنده شامگاه جمعه ۲۹ اسفند ۱۴۰۴ (۲۰ مارس ۲۰۲۶) و در آستانه سال نو توسط نیروهای حکومتی در مشهد بازداشت شده است. وی پس از طی مراحل بازجویی به بند زنان زندان وکیل آباد منتقل شده است.

علیرغم پیگیری های خانواده روحنده، مقامات قضایی و حکومتی مشهد تاکنون از ارائه پاسخ شفاف در مورد مصادیق اتهامات انتسابی و دلیل تداوم بازداشت وی خودداری کرده اند.

قابل ذکر است که، نجمه روحنده از حق دسترسی به دادرسی عادلانه، حق دسترسی به وکیل و همچنین آزادی موقت با قید وثیقه محروم بوده است.
