براساس این گزارش، بازداشت نگار خیاوی، در پی احضار تفلنی و به اداره اطلاعات شهر تبریز صورت گرفته و پس از بازداشت از وضعیت وی اطلاعی حاصل نشده است.
تا لحظه تنظیم این خبر، از علت دقیق احضار و بازداشت نگار خیاوی اطلاعی حاصل نشده اما به نطر می رسد احضار وی مرتبط با سازمان دهی و برگزاری تجمع اعتراضی بوده باشد که در تاریخ ۲۳ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۲ در اعتراض به خشکی دریاچه ارومیه برگزار شده بود.

روز گذشته ۲۳ مرداد نیروهای امنیتی به منزل خانم نگار خیاوی مراجعه و پس از تفتیش و بازرسی، وسایل شخصی وی از جمله کتاب ها و موبایلشان را ضبط کرده اند و سپس از وی خواسته شده در اداره اطلاعات حاضر گردد و تا لحظه تنظیم خبر از وضعیت این نویسنده آذربایجانی [آزادی یا بازداشت ایشان] اطلاع دقیقی در دسترس نمی باشد.
بنا به اطلاع برادر خانم خیاوی، ایشان بیماری قلبی داشته و در صورت عدم آزادی فوری، خطراتی برایشان به همراه خواهد داشت.
