Ahmadreza Haeri was arrested on 27 June 2022 by agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps at his residence in Tehran. He was initially taken to solitary confinement in Ward 2-A and later transferred to Ward 4 of Evin Prison. On 3 August 2022, he was released after posting bail set at 1 billion tomans.
On 9 July 2022, he was informed of the charges against him by an investigator from Branch 3 of the Evin Prison Prosecutor's Office, and his indictment was referred to the Revolutionary Court of Tehran. Legal proceedings commenced, and on 2 August 2022, he was tried by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, presided over by Iman Afshari, on charges of conspiracy and propaganda against the system. On 30 August 2022, he was sentenced to 4 years and 4 months of imprisonment and additional penalties.
After the conclusion of the legal proceedings and the confirmation of this sentence by Branch 36 of the Tehran Court of Appeals, and the application of Article 134 of the Islamic Penal Code, he was required to serve 3 years and 8 months of imprisonment. On 8 May 2023, he was summoned to Branch 1 of the Execution of Sentences Office of District 33 of Tehran, where he was detained to serve his sentence and transferred to Ward 4 (Quarantine Ward) of Evin Prison.
On 3 September 2023, he was transferred without prior notice, along with 14 other political prisoners, to Gohardasht Prison in Karaj.
Ahmad Reza Haeri, a political prisoner and member of the “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign, has been tried again in Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, where he is serving his fourth year in prison. According to reports, the civil activist was tried via video conference on May 19 at Branch 1 of the Karaj Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office on charges of “propaganda against the system,” a charge that was brought solely because of his activities against the death penalty and defending prisoners’ rights.
احمدرضا حائری در تاریخ ۶ تیرماه ۱۴۰۱، توسط ماموران اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران در منزل خود در تهران بازداشت شد. وی ابتدا به سلول انفرادی در بند ۲الف و سپس به اندرزگاه ۴ زندان اوین منتقل گردید. در تاریخ ۱۲ مردادماه ۱۴۰۱، با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۱ میلیارد تومان آزاد شد.
در تاریخ ۲۰ تیرماه ۱۴۰۱، وی توسط بازپرس شعبه ۳ دادسرای زندان اوین تفهیم اتهام شد و کیفرخواست وی به دادگاه انقلاب تهران ارجاع گردید. مراحل دادرسی آغاز شد و در تاریخ ۱۱ مردادماه ۱۴۰۱، وی توسط شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ریاست ایمان افشاری به اتهامات اجتماع و تبانی و فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام محاکمه شد. در تاریخ ۹ شهریورماه ۱۴۰۱، وی به تحمل ۴ سال و ۴ ماه حبس تعزیری و مجازات تکمیلی محکوم گردید.
پس از اتمام مراحل دادرسی و قطعی شدن این حکم توسط شعبه ۳۶ دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان تهران و اعمال ماده ۱۳۴ مجازات اسلامی، تحمل ۳ سال و ۸ ماه حبس تعزیری برای وی لازم به اجرا شد. در تاریخ ۱۹ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۲، وی پس از احضار به شعبه ۱ اجرای احکام دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود بازداشت و به اندرزگاه ۴ (بند قرنطینه) زندان اوین منتقل گردید.
در تاریخ ۱۲ شهریورماه ۱۴۰۲، وی بدون اعلام قبلی به همراه ۱۴ زندانی سیاسی دیگر به زندان قزلحصار کرج منتقل شد.
احمدرضا حائری، زندانی سیاسی و از اعضای کارزار «سه شنبه های نه به اعدام»، بار دیگر در حالی در زندان قزل حصار کرج محاکمه شده که چهارمین سال حبس خود را سپری می کند.
بر اساس گزارش ها، این فعال مدنی روز ۲۹ اردیبهشت ماه به صورت ویدئوکنفرانس در شعبه یک دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب کرج، با اتهام «تبلیغ علیه نظام» محاکمه شده است؛ اتهامی که تنها به دلیل فعالیت های او علیه مجازات اعدام و دفاع از حقوق زندانیان مطرح شده است.
