عطا باباخانی، عضو سندیکای کارگران شرکت واحد تهران و حومه و همچنین از اعضای سازمان جهانی حمل و نقل، بازداشت شده است. بر اساس گزارش ها، در تاریخ 11 اردیبهشت 1402، عطا باباخانی توسط نیروهای حکومتی در منزل خود در تهران بازداشت شد. پیش از این، در اواخر فروردین، شعبه یکم دادگاه انقلاب کرج او را احضار کرده بود. در این احضاریه از او خواسته شده بود که در تاریخ 28 فروردین 1402 برای رسیدگی به اتهامات خود در دادسرا حاضر شود. گفته می شود احضار و سپس بازداشت او به دلیل اعتراضات بازنشستگان در سال های 1399 و 1400 صورت گرفته است. این فعال کارگری پیش از آن نیز در آذرماه 1398 توسط پلیس امنیت اخلاقی احضار شده بود و در نهایت قرار منع تعقیب وی توسط شعبه دوم دادسرای امنیت اوین صادر شده بود.
A member of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company Workers' Syndicate and the International Transport Workers' Federation, Ata Babakhani, has been arrested. Reports indicate that on 1 May 2023, Ata Babakhani was detained by government forces at his home in Tehran. Prior to this, in late April, the first branch of the Karaj Revolutionary Court had summoned him. The summons requested his presence at the prosecutor's office on 17 April 2023 to address the charges against him. It is reported that his summons and subsequent arrest were related to pensioners' protests in 2020 and 2021. This labour activist had previously been summoned by the Morality Police in December 2019, and eventually, the second branch of the Evin Security Prosecutor's Office issued a dismissal of his case.
