According to received information, Masoud Isavand Jahanbakhshi was killed by direct gunfire from officers during protests at Qazi Square in Dezful on 9 January 2026.
It has been reported that Masoud Jahanbakhshi lost his father during childhood and lived with his mother, younger sister, and stepfather. He went to the streets on the second night of the call for protests and was killed by gunfire.
It was also reported that Masoud Jahanbakhshi's family searched for his body for several days and were eventually informed on the night of 12 January to visit the Dezful Intelligence Office with Masoud's identification documents.
At the Intelligence Office, a commitment was obtained from Masoud Jahanbakhshi's family, and the conditions for the release of his body were communicated. It was stated that the body would be handed over before sunrise and that no ceremonies or gatherings should be held. Around 4 a.m. on 13 January, the family was informed that the body was ready and needed to be buried.
بر اساس اطلاعات رسیده، مسعود عیسوند جهانبخشی در تاریخ 19 دی 1404 در اعتراضات چهارراه قاضی شهر دزفول با شلیک مستقیم گلوله جنگی توسط ماموران کشته شد.
گزارش شده است که مسعود جهانبخشی در کودکی پدرش را از دست داده و با مادر، خواهر کوچکش و پدرخوانده اش زندگی می کرده است. او در شب دوم فراخوان به خیابان رفته و با گلوله جنگی کشته شده است.
همچنین گزارش شده که خانواده مسعود جهانبخشی روزها به دنبال پیکر او گشته اند و در نهایت شب 22 دی به آن ها گفته شد که همراه شناسنامه مسعود به اداره آگاهی دزفول مراجعه کنند.
در اداره آگاهی از خانواده مسعود جهانبخشی تعهد گرفته شد و شرایط تحویل پیکر به آن ها اعلام شد. گفته شد که پیکر قبل از طلوع آفتاب تحویل داده می شود و نباید هیچ مراسم و تجمعی برگزار شود. حوالی ساعت چهار صبح 23 دی به خانواده اطلاع داده شد که پیکر آماده است و باید به خاک سپرده شود.
