On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Soudabeh Fakhrazadeh, born in 1958, a political activist and political prisoner held in Room 1 of the women's ward in Evin Prison, is serving her determinate sentence.
A knowledgeable individual reported that Ms. Fakhrazadeh was sentenced to a determinate prison term in an unfair process with charges related to the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization and is currently serving her sentence.
It is notable that Soudabeh Fakhrazadeh was arrested by security forces in Tehran on March 11, 2023. After being transferred to one of the security wards in Evin Prison, she underwent interrogation and was charged without access to a lawyer, which is a fundamental right for any defendant. She was subsequently tried by Iman Afshari, a judge at Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran, on May 14, 2023.
This political activist was sentenced on May 28, 2023, to five years of determinate imprisonment on the charge of "assembly and collusion with the intent to disrupt national security." This sentence was upheld by the judges of the Tehran Provincial Court of Appeals.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، در روز یکشنبه ۸ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۳، سودابه فخارزاده، متولد: ۱۳۳۷، فعال سیاسی و زندانی سیاسی محبوس در اتاق ۱ بند زنان زندان اوین، در حال سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود است.

لازم به اشاره است، سودابه فخارزاده، در تاریخ ۲۰ اسفند ماه ۱۴۰۱، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در تهران، بازداشت و پس از انتقال به یکی از بندهای امنیتی در زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام در حالی که از حقوق اولیه یک متهم برای دسترسی به وکیل محروم بود، تفهیم اتهام و سپس در تاریخ ۲۴ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۲، توسط ایمان افشاری ـ قاضی شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران، محاکمه شده بود.
این فعال سیاسی، در تاریخ ۷ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۲، از بابت اتهام«اجتماع و تبانی به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به تحمل به ۵ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود و این حکم توسط قضات شعبه دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان تهران، عینا تائید شد.
