The account of Mohammad Jamshidi from a family acquaintance:
Mohammad Jamshidi, a 42-year-old resident of Tehran, was a boxing coach and father of two children aged 8 and 3. On January 8, he was shot with two bullets on Ashrafi Esfahani Street. The first bullet hit his knee from the front, and the second was fired from behind into his chest.
Around midnight, someone called his family using Mohammad's phone and informed them that they had found him and were on their way to the hospital, but suspected he might have passed away. The family immediately went to the hospital, but Mohammad's name was not among the injured. They pleaded with a morgue employee to check the bodies using a photo and the tattoo on his hand. The employee stated that there were nearly 150 unidentified bodies there, which would take time to examine. After waiting, it was finally confirmed that Mohammad's body was in the morgue.
However, the next morning at 7 a.m., when the family returned to collect the body, the morgue official claimed that only five bodies remained and Mohammad was not among them, advising them to go to Kahrizak. The family searched for him in Kahrizak from morning until Friday evening but found no trace. Finally, on Saturday afternoon after two days of confusion, his body was found in Behesht Zahra labeled as "Unknown Man No. 11703."
The pressure on the family continued; they were told they must either bury Mohammad in a plot designated by the authorities in Behesht Zahra without a headstone or ceremony, or take the body to a provincial town and bury him without any ceremony. Ultimately, under intense security pressure, Mohammad Jamshidi was buried quietly in his hometown near Tehran on January 12 without a ceremony.
