آرمیتا گراوند، در تاریخ ۹ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، بر اثر حادثه ای در متروی تهران، بیهوش و در بیمارستان فجر، وابسته به دانشگاه علوم پزشکی ارتش، بستری شد و به کما رفت و پس از ۲۸ روز گذشت و برخی رسانه های مدافع حقوق بشر مرگ این نوجوان دانش آموز را ضرب و شتم وی توسط حجاب بانان می دانند.
