Four peshmerga named Mohsen Maroufi, Pejman Fatehi, Hajir Faramarezi and Wafa Azarbar were arrested by the Islamic Republic of Iran security forces in the Soma region of Urmia in the first week of August. Three institutions, the Campaign for the Release of Prisoner Workers, the International Committee Against Executions and the Committee for the Struggle for the Release of Political Prisoners, have announced a campaign against these arrests and the fake scenario of the Islamic Republic and emphasised their immediate and unconditional release.
The Islamic Republic arrested them under the title of a terrorist team, and by linking them to Mossad, it has filed a serious case against them. In this fake and false case-making of Kolbaran, this most hard-working section of the people in Kurdistan was not spared, and the government, to justify its crimes against them, claimed that the explosive equipment of this team entered Iran through Kolbari.
