On Saturday, Farvardin 8th 1405 (28th March 2026), Mr Behzad Yazdani, the husband of Ms Romina Khazali and a resident of Shiraz, was arrested at his home located on the lower floor of his in-laws' house. He was transferred to Adelabad Prison on Sunday 29th March 2026.
Intelligence agents first entered the home of his wife's parents and forced them to call Mr. Yazdani, telling him that a thief had come onto their rooftop, in order to lure him back home. Upon his return, this Baha'i citizen was arrested.
Behzad Yazdani and Romina Khazali, a Baha'i couple residing in Shiraz, were arrested by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps intelligence forces on March 28 and 29, 2026. Behzad Yazdani was arrested at his home on the evening of March 28 and transferred to Adelabad Prison in Shiraz. He informed his family of this in a brief call the following afternoon.
