Aria Sheikhi Nasab, who holds an associate degree in automotive mechanics, was arrested in Tehran on 24 September 2022. He was sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on charges of assembly, collusion, and disruption of order. He was incarcerated in the Greater Tehran Prison. Previously, he had been involved in protests in 2019, which resulted in a case against him and a ban from continuing his university education.
Aria Sheikhi Nasab, a civil activist and former political prisoner, was arrested on 25 January 2026 at his father's home in Masjed Soleyman. On 29 January 2026, he was transferred to Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz, known for its poor conditions for inmates. The arresting authority was reported to be the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Although he resides in Tehran, he had moved to his father's home in Masjed Soleyman in the Khuzestan region following the start of protests.
آریا شیخی نسب، متولد ۱۳۷۵، ساکن مسجد سلیمان (در سال ۱۴۰۱ ) و فوق دیپلم مکانیک خودرو است. در تاریخ دوم مهر ماه ۱۴۰۱ ، در تهران بازداشت شد. در شعبه ی ۲۸ دادگاه انقلاب(قاضی عموزاد) تهران بزرگ با اتهام های اجتماع و تبانی و اخلال در نظم به پنج سال حبس محکوم شد و در زندان بزرگ تهران زندانی بود. برای وی به دلیل حضور داشتن در تظاهرات سال نود و هشت دارای پرونده شد و از ادامه تحصیل در دانشگاه محروم گردید.
آریا شیخی نسب، فعال مدنی و زندانی سیاسی سابق که پیش تر در جریان اعتراضات «زن، زندگی، آزادی» بازداشت شده بود، روز ۵ بهمن ۱۴۰۴، در منزل پدرش در مسجدسلیمان بازداشت شده است. او در روز ۹ بهمن ماه به زندان سپیدار اهواز که به شرایط نامناسب نگهداری زندانیان شهرت دارد، منتقل شده است.
نهاد بازداشت کننده او اطلاعات سپاه عنوان شده است. آقای شیخی نسب ساکن تهران است، اما پس از آغاز اعتراضات، به منزل پدرش در مسجدسلیمان در اقلیم اهواز (خوزستان) رفته بود.
