Fahimeh Najjar Ajam was shot and killed by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces during protests in Azadshahr Golestan Province around 10:30 p.m. on January 8 2026.
Before reaching the courthouse area she had given her scarf to help tie the leg of an injured protester. Moments later near Gorgan Street bursts of gunfire were heard and Fahimeh was shot. At first it was thought the bullet had hit her leg but inside the car it became clear that she had been shot in the chest and had died.
Her body was returned to the family a week later. Authorities did not allow a public ceremony and she was buried at 6 a.m. in Azadshahr with only about ten family members present.

فهیمه نجارعجم شامگاه ۱۸ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ حوالی ساعت ۱۰:۳۰ شب در جریان اعتراضات آزادشهر استان گلستان هدف شلیک نیروهای سپاه پاسداران قرار گرفت و جان باخت. پیش از رسیدن به مقابل دادگستری، او شال خود را برای بستن پای یک معترض زخمی داده بود. لحظاتی بعد در نزدیکی خیابان گرگان صدای رگبار بلند شد و فهیمه هدف گلوله قرار گرفت. در ابتدا تصور می شد تیر به پای او خورده است، اما در خودرو مشخص شد که گلوله به سینه اش اصابت کرده است.
پیکر او یک هفته بعد به خانواده تحویل داده شد و اجازه برگزاری مراسم داده نشد. فهیمه در ساعت ۶ صبح با حضور حدود ۱۰ نفر از اعضای خانواده در آزادشهر به خاک سپرده شد. فهیمه نجارعجم دانش آموخته حسابداری بود و برای مهاجرت برنامه داشت و به برادرش در شیرینی فروشی کمک می کرد.
