Paniz Soltani, a graduate in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy, enrolled at Iran University of Science and Technology in 2009 and later became a researcher at the Max Planck Institute in Germany.
After obtaining her bachelor's degree, she received admissions from universities in Italy, the United States, and Germany, ultimately securing a scholarship from European Union universities under the Erasmus program. On 7 October 2015, she left Iran for Germany to study at the University of Augsburg in the field of Nanomaterials Engineering. She then moved to Portugal and attended the University of Aveiro, where she earned a master's degree in Materials Science with a focus on Nanotechnology from the FAME Institute. She completed her doctorate in Materials Science at the Max Planck Institute.
She passed away on 8 January 2020 in the incident involving the crash and explosion of Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752, which was shot down by missiles from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
پانیذ سلطانی متولد سال ۱۳۷۰ دانش آموخته مقطع کارشناسی رشته مهندسی مواد و متالورژی، ورودی ۱۳۸۸ دانشگاه علم و صنعت ایران و از پژوهشگران انستیتوی علمی ماکس پلانک آلمان بود.
بعد از مدرک کارشناسی از دانشگاه های ایتالیا ، امریکا و آلمان پذیرش گرفت ولی در نهایت بورسیه دانشگاه های اتحادیه اروپا (ارسموس) شد .هفت اکتبر ۱۳۹۴ایران را به مقصد آلمان ترک کرد، دانشکاه اگسبورگ و رشته مهندسی نانو مواد. سپس به پرتغال و دانشگاه آویرو، رفت و در نهایت مدرک کارشناسی ارشد علوم مواد گرایش نانوتکنولوژی را از موسسه FAME گرفت و مدرک دکتری رشته علوم مواد را از موسسه مکس پلانک دریافت کرد.
پانیذ سلطانی یک روز پس از تولد ۲۹ سالگی اش در حادثه ی سقوط و انفجار هواپیمای اوکراین ،PS752، بر اثر شلیک موشکهای سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی، چشم از جهان فروبست.
