Reports indicate that 16 citizens are undergoing judicial proceedings in connection with the protests of January 2026, in a case referred to as the "Meydan-e Shohada Esfahan Case." The identities of 12 defendants in this case have been established. Some of these individuals face charges of moharebeh, which can carry severe criminal consequences. The hearing for these individuals' charges was held at Dastgerd Prison in Esfahan. It has been reported that the defence lawyers did not have full access to the case files before the hearing, and one of the defendants claimed to have been tortured during the interrogation period.
This case is distinct from another case known as the "Meydan-e Alikhani Esfahan Case," where a similar number of citizens have been sentenced to execution on similar charges.
These citizens are currently being held in Dastgerd and Dolatabad prisons in Esfahan.
بر اساس گزارش ها، ۱۶ شهروند در ارتباط با اعتراضات دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ در پرونده ای به نام «پرونده میدان شهدای اصفهان» تحت رسیدگی قضایی قرار گرفته اند. هویت ۱۲ نفر از متهمان این پرونده مشخص شده است. برخی از این افراد با اتهام محاربه روبرو هستند که می تواند پیامدهای کیفری سنگینی داشته باشد. جلسه رسیدگی به اتهامات این افراد در زندان دستگرد اصفهان برگزار شده است. گزارش شده است که وکلای مدافع متهمان پیش از برگزاری جلسه به تمامی محتویات پرونده دسترسی نداشته اند و یکی از متهمان نیز اعلام کرده است که در دوران بازجویی تحت شکنجه قرار گرفته است.
این پرونده با پرونده ای دیگر به نام «میدان علیخانی اصفهان» که در آن نیز تعداد مشابهی شهروند با اتهامات مشابه به اعدام محکوم شده اند، تفاوت دارد.
این شهروندان در حال حاضر در زندان های دستگرد و دولت آباد اصفهان نگهداری می شوند.
