Reports indicate that on 25 May 2024, Mehdi Majidi, a resident of Bukan County in West Azerbaijan Province, was sentenced to four years and eight months of imprisonment by the judge of Branch 101 of the Criminal Court 2 of Bukan County.
According to the issued verdict, which was communicated to the defendant on 26 April 2024, Mehdi Majidi was sentenced to three years of imprisonment for "supporting the Israeli government," one year for "propaganda against the regime," and eight months for "insulting the leadership." This verdict was communicated to him on 26 April 2024.
The charge of "supporting Israel" is considered a security crime, while "propaganda against the regime" is regarded as a political crime, both falling under the jurisdiction of the Revolutionary Court.
Reports suggest that Mehdi Majidi was arrested by security forces in Bukan County on 6 November 2024. After being transferred to a detention centre and undergoing interrogation and charge notification on 28 December 2023, he was released on bail of 500 million tomans until the completion of the legal proceedings.
براساس گزارش ها، در 4 خرداد 1403، مهدی مجیدی، اهل شهرستان بوکان از توابع استان آذربایجان غربی، توسط قاضی شعبه 101 دادگاه کیفری 2 شهرستان بوکان به 4 سال و 8 ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
براساس دادنامه صادره که در تاریخ 76 اردیبهشت 1403 به متهم ابلاغ شده، مهدی مجیدی به اتهام «حمایت از دولت اسرائیل» به 3 سال حبس تعزیری، «تبلیغ علیه نظام» به 1 سال حبس تعزیری و به اتهام «توهین به رهبری» به 8 ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم شده است. این حکم در تاریخ 6 اردیبهشت 1403 به وی ابلاغ شده است.
اتهام «حمایت از اسرائیل» به عنوان جرم امنیتی و اتهام «تبلیغ علیه نظام» به عنوان جرم سیاسی محسوب می شود و در صلاحیت رسیدگی دادگاه انقلاب است.
گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که مهدی مجیدی در تاریخ 15 آبان 1403 توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهرستان بوکان دستگیر و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه و طی مراحل بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام در تاریخ 7 دی 1402، با قید وثیقه ای به مبلغ 500 میلیون تومان تا اتمام مراحل دادرسی آزاد شد.
