بر اساس گزارش ها، حسین محمدی نیا، شهروند تالش و اهل روستای درودخان شفت، در 19 دی 1404 در خیابان یخسازی رشت با شلیک گلوله کشته شد. اطلاعات نشان می دهد که گلوله به ناحیه قفسه سینه او اصابت کرده و وی به دلیل شدت جراحات جان باخته است. حسین محمدی نیا به عنوان کارگر ساختمانی فعالیت می کرد.
