On Monday, Ordibehesht 14, 1405 (May 4, 2026), he was arrested for the second time by government forces. Informed sources report that this doctor's re-arrest took place despite the fact that his assets had previously been confiscated by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dr. Ghafoori had also been arrested earlier on the evening of Friday, Dey 12, 1404 (January 2, 2026), and after enduring about eight weeks of detention and uncertainty, she was temporarily released.

On 2 May 2026, Dr. Mohabat Ghafoori, a paediatric specialist from Lar in the Fars region, was detained by government forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the second time. Sources have indicated that this second arrest occurred after his assets had previously been confiscated by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

دکتر موهبت غفوری روز دوشنبه ۱۴ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۵ (۴ می ۲۰۲۶)، برای دومین بار توسط نیروهای حکومتی بازداشت شده است. منابع مطلع اعلام کرده اند که بازداشت مجدد این پزشک در حالی صورت گرفته که پیش از این، اموال وی توسط دستگاه قضایی جمهوری اسلامی ایران مصادره شده بود.

وی که از متخصصان سرشناس کودکان در منطقه است، علاوه بر فعالیت های حرفه ای پزشکی، به انجام فعالیت های خیرخواهانه و کمک های مالی به خانواده های کم برخوردار شهرت دارد.
تا لحظه تنظیم این خبر، از نهاد بازداشت کننده، دلایل بازداشت مجدد و اتهامات مطروحه علیه این پزشک بازداشتی اطلاعی حاصل نشده است.
