یعقوب محمدی معلم و زندانی سیاسی سابق در تاریخ ۲ اسفند ۱۴۰۴ در پی یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل یکی از اعضای خانواده اش در شهر آبدانان بازداشت و به مکانی نامعلوم منتقل شد.
بازداشت این شهروند کُرد با مقاومت خانواده همراه بوده و نیروهای امنیتی نیز با اعمال خشونت شدید همسر و دیگر اعضای خانواده او را مورد ضرب و شتم قرار داده اند.
