Hossein Ziari, a referee in the Premier League football and an official in the Semnan Governorate, has been sentenced to five years in prison following his arrest by security forces. He is currently serving his detention at the central prison in Semnan.
Security forces arrested Ziari at his home on 2 May 2026. According to released information, his family was initially unaware of his whereabouts following the arrest.

حسین زیاری، داور لیگ برتر فوتبال و از مدیران استانداری سمنان، پس از بازداشت از سوی نیروهای امنیتی به پنج سال حبس محکوم شده است. او در حال حاضر دوران بازداشت خود را در زندان مرکزی سمنان سپری می کند.
نیروهای امنیتی روز ۱۳ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۵ با مراجعه به منزل زیاری او را بازداشت کردند. بنا بر اطلاعات منتشرشده، خانواده او نیز برای مدتی پس از بازداشت از محل نگهداری اش بی اطلاع بوده اند.
