Saman Doregard, born in 2004, was arrested by IRGC Intelligence forces in Tehran on January 10, 2026, in connection with the nationwide protests and was transferred to Evin Prison. He was subsequently transferred to Greater Tehran Prison in early April 2026.
Saman Doregard was released from Greater Tehran Prison several days ago after posting bail of two billion tomans.
Previously, Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced Saman Doregard to 10 years in prison on charges of “assembly and collusion against national security,” pursuant to Article 4 of the Law on Intensifying Punishments for Crimes Against National Security.
An informed source close to his family, while confirming the news, stated that Mr. Doregard has appealed the sentence and that his case is currently at the appeal stage.
سامان دوره گرد، متولد ۱۳۸۳ در تاریخ ۲۰ دی ماه ۱۴۰۴، در ارتباط با اعتراضات سراسری توسط ماموران اطلاعات سپاه در تهران بازداشت و به زندان اوین منتقل شد. وی سپس اوایل اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۵ به زندان تهران بزرگ انتقال یافت.
آزادی سامان دوره گرد چندی پیش با تودیع وثیقه دو میلیارد تومانی از زندان تهران بزرگ صورت گرفته است.
سامان دوره گرد پیشتر از بابت اتهام اجتماع و تبانی علیه امنیت کشور و با استناد به ماده ۴ قانون تشدید مجازات جرایم علیه امنیت ملی، توسط شعبه ۲۸ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ۱۰ سال حبس محکوم شده است. یک منبع مطلع و نزدیک به خانواده وی، ضمن تایید این خبر گفت: آقای دوره گرد نسبت به حکم مذکور اعتراض کرده و پرونده وی در مرحله تجدیدنظرخواهی قرار دارد.
