Saeed Ebrahimi, a young man from a suburb of the city of Qir known as "Emam Shahr" or "Shahrak Emam," has been killed. Reports indicate that he was shot with a Kalashnikov rifle by a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the area on the evening of 9 January 2023. Local residents reportedly witnessed and identified the individual during the shooting.
It has been stated that on 9 January 2023, a heavy security presence was established in the area, and protests had spread to the outskirts of Qir and Karzin. In Emam Shahr, Saeed Ebrahimi was subjected to direct gunfire.
Additionally, it has been reported that people attempted to apprehend the Revolutionary Guard member involved, but he evaded capture. Some believe that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps assisted in his escape.
