Arnika Ghaem Maghami was a 17-year-old girl who died as a result of baton strikes from security forces during the protests in Iran in 2022. Her death was confirmed by the Iranian Human Rights Defenders Center, stating that she passed away in the hospital due to the severity of her injuries.
After being in a coma for 10 days, Arnika Ghaem Maghami died on 30 October 2022 due to brain death. Reports indicated that security forces had transferred her to a military hospital.
The government of the Islamic Republic claimed that she had fallen from a building and died. This claim has also been made regarding other children who were killed during the 2022 protests. Officials from the Islamic Republic have provided various explanations for the deaths of protesters, including suicide, underlying health conditions, dog bites, and even claims that protesters shot each other. Some media outlets mistakenly referred to Arnika Ghaem Maghami as Atika Ghaem Maghami.
آرنیکا قائم مقامی دختر نوجوان ۱۷ ساله ای بود که در جریان خیزش ۱۴۰۱ ایران و در تاریخ ۳۰ مهر ۱۴۰۱ بر اثر ضربات باتون نیروهای امنیتی کشته شد. کانون مدافعان حقوق بشر ایران مرگ وی در بیمارستان بر اثر شدت جراحات را تأیید کرد.
پس از ۱۰ روز در کما بودن، آرنیکا قائم مقامی در ۳۰ مهر ۱۴۰۱ بر اثر مرگ مغزی درگذشت. گزارش شده است که نیروهای امنیتی او را به یک بیمارستان نظامی منتقل کرده بودند.
حکومت جمهوری اسلامی ادعا کرده است که او از بالای ساختمان به پایین پرت شده و مرده است. این ادعا دربارهٔ برخی از کودکان کشته شدهٔ دیگر اعتراضات ۱۴۰۱ نیز مطرح شده است. مسئولان حکومت جمهوری اسلامی دلایل مختلفی برای کشته شدن معترضان ارائه کرده اند که شامل خودکشی، بیماری زمینه ای، گاز گرفتن سگ و حتی شلیک معترضان به یکدیگر می باشد. نام آرنیکا قائم مقامی در برخی از رسانه ها به اشتباه، آتیکا قائم مقام درج شده بود.
