در گفت وگو با یک منبع نزدیک به خانواده امیرعلی قنبرزاده سازمان حقوق بشر ایران به جزئیاتی دست یافته است که نشان می دهد او در جریان اعتراضات دی ماه ۱۴۰۴ با شلیک گلوله های جنگی ماموران حکومتی در گرمدره کرج کشته شده است. امیرعلی قنبرزاده دانش آموز ۱۶ ساله ای بود که در آریاشهر تهران به همراه خانواده اش زندگی می کرد.
این منبع نزدیک به خانواده به سازمان حقوق بشر ایران گفت: «امیرعلی روز ۱۸ دی ماه به گرمدره محل کار پدرش رفت. با گسترش اعتراضات ضدحکومتی در شهرهای مختلف بسیاری از مناطق کرج از جمله گرمدره مملو از معترضان شده بود. امیرعلی اصرار داشت که در تظاهرات شرکت کند. او در پاسخ به نگرانی های خانواده گفته بود ما باید حق خودمان را از این حکومت بگیریم.»
این منبع مطلع ادامه داد: «امیرعلی شب ۱۹ دی با رضایت خانواده به خیابان رفت اما ده دقیقه نگذشته بود که مقابل چشمان مادرش هدف شلیک گلوله های جنگی ماموران لباس شخصی و بسیجی قرار گرفت و به زمین افتاد. همراه با امیرعلی شماری از معترضان که در صفوف اول بودند نیز زخمی یا کشته شدند.»
به گفته این منبع آگاه مادر امیرعلی او را بلافاصله در آغوش کشید؛ «با این که صورت او هدف سه گلوله کوچک جنگی قرار گرفت اما هنوز زنده بود. دو گلوله به جمجمه و یک تیر به فک او اصابت کرده بود».
این منبع نزدیک به خانواده ضمن اشاره به این که مادر امیرعلی پسرش را با یک خودروی رهگذر و با کمک مردم به بیمارستان امام علی کرج منتقل کرد گفت: «بیمارستان بسیار شلوغ بود. مردم زخمی ها و کشته شده ها را به بیمارستان می آوردند. بیشتر آن ها از ناحیه سر و قلب هدف قرار گرفته بودند. امیرعلی تا حدود ساعت دو و نیم شب هنوز زنده بود اما پس از آن پزشکان مرگ او را اعلام کردند و به خانواده اش گفتند دیگر کاری از دست ما ساخته نیست».

With the spread of anti-government protests in various cities, many areas of Karaj, including Garmdareh, were filled with protesters. The source continued, stating that on the night of January 9, Amirali went to the streets with his family's consent, but within ten minutes, he was shot by plainclothes agents and Basij forces in front of his mother, falling to the ground. Alongside Amirali, several protesters in the front lines were also injured or killed.
According to the source, Amirali's mother immediately held him in her arms. Despite being hit by three small live bullets in the face, he was still alive. Two bullets struck his skull, and one hit his jaw.
