On Sunday, May 5, 2024, Mehdi Anshini, a resident of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan province, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.
A knowledgeable source reported to the Hal Vash website that Mehdi Anshini was detained on Shariati Street in Zahedan for not carrying identification documents such as a national ID card or birth certificate.
It is worth mentioning that Mehdi Anshini had previously been shot in the leg by security forces during the 2022 protests known as the Zahedan Bloody Friday.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز یکشنبه ۱۶ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۳، مهدی آنشینی، ساکن زاهدان مرکز استان سیستان و بلوچستان، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شد.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با وبسایت حال وش:”در حالی که مهدی آنشینی مشغول تردد در خیابان شریعتی واقع در شهر زاهدان بود به علت همراه نداشتن اسناد هویتی از قبیل کارت ملی یا شناسنامه دستگیر شده است.”
لازم به اشاره است، مهدی آنشینی، پیشتر هم در جریان اعتراضات ۱۴۰۱ موسوم به جمعه خونین زاهدان در پی شلیک مستفیم گلوله از سوی نیروهای امنیتی از ناحیه ساق پا مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفته بود.
